Parents will proceed down B Street and enter the FMS parking lot from Indian Pink. Upon arriving at the front of the school there will be two loading lines to load students more efficiently. Please refrain from blocking the crosswalk. A staff member will be placed at the end of the loading lines to alternate exiting the lines from the parking lot. There will be a section for parents that wish to park and wait for their student (this area is depicted on the map).For parents that park we request that you exit toward the back of the parking lot to prevent congestion at the end of the parent pick up lines. Lastly we will be marking areas outside of the gate that we are requesting parents not park in as this creates visibility issues for both cars exiting and students who walk home.
In addition, we ask that the entrance to the cafeteria parking lot not be blocked as this prevents buses from entering to pick students up. Please be patient with us as we work out some of the obstacles we may encounter while students and staff learn this process that is designed to keep our students safe. As always our continued focus is on the safety and wellbeing of our students.

This week educators from our elementary and secondary schools attended the Title III Symposium in San Antonio, where they learned strategies to assist our Emergent Bilingual students. A huge THANK YOU goes out to Tiffany Hauser, Southeast Realtors, Moore Chiropractic, PLLC, and R&R Day Spa for hosting a backpack drive to help our Floresville ISD students!🎒 They were able to provide 400 backpacks stuffed with some starting essential school supplies that will be distributed to FISD families in need.

Check this out! A group of Floresville Middle School Bilingual-ESL students visited Austin last week for the three-day Close Up Program! They learned about the government and history of Texas, toured the Bullock History Museum, Texas Capitol, UT, and LBJ Library, and took part in various activities. What an awesome experience! #FISDGreatKids

The FHS Symphonic Band and FMS Wind Ensemble recently submitted recordings to the Association of Texas Small School Bands Outstanding Performance Series Competition. The recordings were evaluated by a panel of judges from a March Category and Concert Music Category, and the best three in the region for each category advanced to the Area level. The FHS Symphonic Band advanced to Area in both categories, while the FMS Wind Ensemble placed first overall in their class for Region 12 and advanced to Area with a piece in the Concert Music Category and the March Category.
Thank you to the Girl Scouts Troop 559 for joining us at the June regular meeting of the FISD Board of Trustees! In order to earn their Citizens Badge, the girl scouts witness and participate in civil engagement activities that affect them and their community. We love seeing Troop 559 members becoming active citizens and leading positive changes! #FISDGreatKids
