The 2022-2023 school year will be my 21st year in teaching, and this will be my sixth year to teach at FMS! This year, I will teach Advanced ELAR 7, ELAR 7, and Empower. Previously, I taught English I, PAP English I, English II, and EOC Remediation courses at Floresville High School for 15 years. Although I definitely miss my colleagues and former students at FHS, I really enjoy teaching at FMS!
I have been married for 18 years to my husband Ed, and we have two sons, Jake (15) and Brody (13) who both attend FISD schools. My husband and I both graduated from East Central High School. I attended the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and while there, I majored in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. A few years later, I went back to UTSA to attain my secondary education certificate to teach English. Go Roadrunners!
My family enjoys spending time with extended family, camping, hiking, swimming, biking, reading, floating the local rivers, and spending time with our pets, Willow (our tabby cat) and Junior (our yellow lab). We really enjoy being outdoors!
I absolutely love our Floresville community and schools, and I consider it a great privilege to be a part of it all!
